Make Your Own Watercolored Zentangle®Journal

Create your own Zentangle journal with watercolored paper and string. Use your journal for your daily Zentangle practice, as an album for your finished tiles, or for one of the many monthly challenges suggested by the Zentangle community.

First you will use watercolors to paint the papers that will become the pages in your journal. Next, you will cut , fold, and press the paper. Finally, we will work together to design your journal, and you will sew the pages into a simple, single-signature journal. Last, but not least, you will create a stunning cover with an inspirational word or phrase of your choice and your favorite Zentangle patterns.

You will be able to use your journal for your daily Zentangle practice, for one of the many monthly challenges suggested by the Zentangle community, as an album to hold your favorite Zentangle tiles, or for whatever journaling you like. Pages will measure approximately 5" square and will accommodate both square and round Zentangle tiles.

Please note that the  quality of watercolor paper is different from Zentangle tiles. If you are used to tangling on Fabriano Tiepolo, you will notice quite a difference. Still, you should adjust easily and be proud of the artwork you create in your own handmade journal!

Upon registering, you will be sent a complete supply list and instructions for painting the paper.

Duration: 3 hours (an hour to prep the papers plus two hours in class together to put it all together).
