About the Event
Around A.D. 1000-1130, the Southwest USA was populated by the indigenous Anasazi peoples. In the Mimbres and Rio Grande Valleys of southwestern New Mexico, the localized Mogollon were artistically rich, and they developed a distinctively decorated pottery now known as Mimbres. I see numerous similarities and differences between the geometric Mimbres patterns and Zentangle patterns and fragments. In this workshop, we will explore some of these elements and create our own Zendalas inspired by them.
