Gaudí & Trencadís - the Zendala

Be virtually transported to Barcelona's famed Parc Güell and create your own colorful Trencadís ceramic masterpiece on paper. 

This is the second in a series of classes based on the work of reknown Catalan architects Antoni Gaudí & Josep Jujol. It stands alone without pre-requisites. In this class, we will learn a bit about Trencadís and two of the most prominent architects who used it in their work primarily in and around Barcelona, Spain in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Then, we will create a Zentangle-Inspired Zendala mimicking some of the Trencadís works found in the Sala de las Columnas of the famed Parc Güell in Barcelona.
